This house was built using "Igura-zukuri",
a traditional architectural style that dates back to the Edo period.
It is a century-old kominka that has been renovated using traditional Japanese materials and craftsmanship.
An Irori hearth space with a sunken kotatsu preserves the same scenery as in earlier times.
A small raised Tatami room, designed for tea rituals and shamisen performances,
features ceilings, walls, and sliding doors all finished with washi paper.
The entire floor is finished with "Naguri carving",
a traditional Japanese woodworking technique that dates back to the Nara period.
FURNITURE / MATERIALS
Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove gently warm the entire house,
filling it with a natural sense of comfort.
The entire house is gently heated with underfloor panels,bringing a soft warmth that rises from beneath your feet.
A wood-burning stove adds to the comfort, filling the rooms with a natural, glowing heat.
Designed in the traditional "Igura-zukuri" style, the house takes full advantage of sunlight and natural insulation—cool in the summer, warm and welcoming in the winter.

The bathroom features a spacious stone tub that comfortably accommodates up to four adults,along with two standard showers and one overhead rain shower.

Upon request, you can enjoy water from Jinsekikogen Onsen, a hot spring renowned for its skin-beautifying properties,thanks to its pH level of 10.2.
